Wet Installation Method

Best for Large Graphics

This method allows repositioning and reduces bubbles.

Step 1 — Make Application Solution

Mix in a spray bottle:

• Water + 2–3 drops of dish soap

Step 2 — Position & Tape

• Tape the decal in place like the dry method (hinge at the top).
• Check alignment.

Step 3 — Wet the Surface

• Lift the decal and spray the boat surface generously.
• Lightly mist the adhesive side of the vinyl as well.

Step 4 — Apply the Vinyl

• Lay the decal onto the wet surface.
• You can slide it slightly into perfect position.

Step 5 — Squeegee Out Liquid

• Starting in the center, push water out toward the edges.
• Use firm pressure and overlapping strokes.

Step 6 — Drying Time

• Wait 15–30 minutes before removing transfer tape.
• Peel slowly at a sharp angle.

Dry Installation Method

Best for Small to Medium Decals

Use this for boat names, registration numbers, and smaller graphics.

Step 1 — Position the Lettering

• Hold the decal in place.
• Use masking tape across the top to create a hinge.
• Step back and make sure everything is level.

Step 2 — Peel Backing Paper

• Flip the decal upward on the tape hinge.
• Slowly peel the backing paper away, leaving the vinyl stuck to the transfer tape.

Step 3 — Apply to Surface

• Carefully lay the decal down from top to bottom.
• Use a squeegee to press from the center outward, using firm strokes to prevent bubbles.

Step 4 — Remove Transfer Tape

• Wait 1–2 minutes.
• Slowly peel the transfer tape back at a sharp angle.
• If any vinyl lifts, press it down and squeegee again.
